Over the last few weeks, ADMA hosted a series of events for the marketing industry in Western Australia and Queensland.

Our chapter events in WA and QLD were an extension of the ADMA Global Forum 2-day CX conference that took place in August earlier in the year.

To add to the action, WA ended 2018 with a bang by hosting the end of year annual Sundowner event.

We have a few highlights to share from each:

2018 ADMA WA State Conference

On Thursday 1 November ADMA WA’s annual Marketing Disrupted conference brought together big names from the annual ADMA Global Forum, and local marketing leaders, to give the WA industry an action-packed insight into how brands are driving innovation in customer experience, technology, data-driven marketing and creativity in the face of changing customer expectations.

The content-packed program covered: the future of fashion tech and creating a culture of innovation at Woolmark; a deep dive into Village Roadshow’s journey to creating meaningful customer engagement through content that resonates; global insights from eBAY into Australian eCommerce and online consumer behaviour; and a panel discussion – Leading in the Age of the Customer – moderated by Meerkat’s Chief Strategy Officer Melanie Wiese, which explores the drivers of customer-centricity and the role of marketing in an age of constant disruption.

All this was followed by a luncheon keynote from Andy Lark, former chief marketing officer at Foxtel, where insights were shared on: the changing role of the CMO and engaging the C-suite; brand-building in some of the world’s most innovative and dynamic organisations; and the challenges of driving growth and customer engagement in an increasingly fragmented and ever-changing entertainment and media landscape.

2018 ADMA QLD Guru Breakfast

Held on Tuesday 13 November, this QLD Chapter event had two of Australia’s top brands reveal secrets into how to deliver exceptional customer experience using data and brand authenticity.

Lara Thom, Chief Marketing Officer for the business presented her view on how the Guzman y Gomez brand is changing the game by embracing innovation and approaching marketing unlike any of its Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) competitors.

While Abbey Beck, Marketing Insights Manager, discussed how Dominos has transformed itself using innovation, data and insights from its owned and reach channels to personalise the customer experience and provide better targeting.

Annual WA Sundowner

ADMA WA ended 2018 with a bang with their annual WA Sundowner.

Held at Goody Two's in Perth on 6 December the team took some time to unwind and celebrate another big year.
Attendees had the opportunity to recap on the big topics covered this year!
