Kate Friedrich
Head of Legal - Cyber, Data and Privacy at Qantas
Kate is currently Head of Legal, Cyber, Data & Privacy for the Qantas Group. Kate joined Qantas in 2019, and her previous roles have included Group Privacy Officer and Head of Legal and People - Qantas Loyalty.
Prior to this, Kate worked at nbn co, as a Privacy, Data & Technology Senior Legal Counsel (during the national broadband network rollout).
She also spent time working in the investigations team at the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), responding to data breaches in the early days of Australia's mandatory data breach reporting regime.
Kate developed her love of data law back in her private practice days, in the Technology, Telecommunications and Media team at a leading Australian law firm.
Kate Friedrich is a member of ADMA's Regulatory and Advocacy Working Group.
