Cancellation/Refund Policy
On occasion, you may be unable to attend an MAA course or event. MAA may also need to cancel or postpone IQ courses or events.
Unable to attend an ADMA IQ Course or Event?
Outlined below are steps and alternative measures that can be taken in that event. Please note: for timing purposes, 'days' referred to throughout are calendar days.
Send a Substitute Attendee
Sending a substitute is the best way to ensure your organisation retains the full value for its training investment. Written notification must be received by MAA a minimum 14 days prior to the course or event. All written notifications must include your name, the course or event name, the name and contact information for your substitute and the original invoice number.
Requests made for substitute transfers from less than 30 days prior to, or once a course has commenced, are not permitted.
Deferment
If a substitute is unavailable you may apply for a deferment. Written notification must be received within a minimum 14 days prior to the start of the course or event. That note must include your name and the course or event name and the original invoice number.
Deferments are not applicable to one off annual events.
Deferments are strictly non-transferable.
Requests made for deferment once a course has commenced, are not permitted.
For MAA courses: a credit with a 6-month expiry (from the original commencement date) is issued.
Cancellation of course by MAA
Where MAA cancels a course on 14 days notice or less, MAA will offer to participants:
(a) a full refund for the cancelled course; or
(b) a transfer of the cancelled course to another similar course (which must be used by the participant within the period of 6 months from the date of the cancelled course).
and the participant must notify MAA in writing which of the above it elects
Force Majeure
In the event of a force majeure, MAA reserves the right to cancel events following guidelines issued by local and international authorities. MAA will act in good faith in delivering the Events or Education where possible.
Refunds for cancellations by participants
Participants must notify MAA in writing if they wish to cancel attendance at a course and will only be entitled to a full refund if at least 14 days written notice has been provided to MAA. MAA may in its discretion agree to a deferment of a course if the participant has provided less than 14 days notice.
