Michael Laxton

Michael Laxton

Director, Customer AI

Serving over 20 million Australians and New Zealanders every week, Michael understands the fundamental and critical role the Woolworths Group and its brands play in the daily life of its customers.

He is a passionate advocate for both the customer and the Marketing craft around the executive table, always keeping the tension of keeping it easy and exciting for customers whilst driving marketing outcomes that deliver business results and growth.

Michael has been a proud recipient of several marketing and marketing team awards, including making Australia’s top 50 CMO list three years in a row.

Before Woolworths, Michael was at Coles Group, Fairfax Media and General Pants Group.

Michael is passionate about coaching and developing talent, believing every leader’s biggest priority should be leaning in and lifting up teams.

When not at work, Michael is the proud father of two cavoodles (Bert and Bruce), loves the beach and staying active.
