Steve Brennen, Co-founder and CEO of Archie, who has held the position for over a decade, will move to the role of Vice Chair. Morgan, who has served on the board since 2021, brings over 35 years of global experience, having held global marketing leadership roles for Samsung, Citibank, Procter & Gamble, Nestlé and was global CMO for Standard Chartered, world’s third largest bank. On his appointment to the position of Chair, Morgan says: “I’d like to sincerely thank Steve for his committed service to ADMA and our industry. Steve has delivered extraordinary leadership through ever changing challenges and opportunities for our marketing community, skilfully guiding ADMA through changes in CEO, partnership with ACS, Covid, and a marketing community now exploring the untold opportunities of AI. Steve has led the industry capabilities and compliance setting us all up for success. I’m privileged to accept the challenge of the high bar Steve has set, and excited to accelerate ADMA’s strategies for success.” As ADMA enters this new chapter, Brennen will transition to the role of Vice Chair, where he will continue to play a vital role in the association’s ongoing growth and evolution. Brennen says: “The marketing industry has changed enormously over the last decade, with every marketer facing unprecedented disruption. It’s been a genuine honour to have been entrusted with the job of helping guide the industry through challenges like COVID, sweeping regulatory reform and rapid digitisation during my time as Chair of ADMA’s Advisory Board. With David now at the helm, ADMA is set to accelerate the momentum we’ve already created to help every marketer in Australia navigate the new landscape. I look forward to playing an active role in supporting the whole team as Vice Chair while we continue to drive ADMA forward.” In recent years under Brennen’s leadership ADMA has consulted with the industry and the Government to help shape responsible and workable reforms to the Privacy Act which are ongoing. Last year ADMA launched the Capability Compass, an innovative new tool designed by leading marketers to help address the ongoing capability crisis by identifying skills gaps in marketing teams. This has been adopted by several leading businesses including international engagement , with the first set of findings to be unveiled later this year. ADMA CEO, Andrea Martens says: “The role of Chair is no honorary title, this is a job which helps shape not just the direction of ADMA, but the entire industry. We’re deeply grateful for Steve’s vision and energy over the last decade, which has helped put ADMA in a real position of strength. Under David’s leadership, our focus will continue to be empowering marketers at all levels to lead growth, drive strategy and prove the commercial impact of marketing. ADMA is here to help the entire industry evolve and we will continue to share and collaborate widely to help promote responsible marketing practises.” A refreshed ADMA Advisory Board will be announced in the coming weeks.
